John Carter and John Carney attached to the hospital both charged with disobedience of orders and neglect of duty after they refused to wash soiled sheets. Carter stated he was a new hand and the hospital men gave him extra work. Sentenced to 14 days solitary. Carney stated he was not a wardsman so not his duty and sentenced to 50 lashes.
